March 31 - Testing

1 Corinthians 10:12-13

12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Whatever temptations you or I are tempted with, we should know that God will not let us be tempted by anything too hard for us to turn away from. God does not tempt us. God provides a way out of that temptation or trap, but it is up to us to follow his word and truth to escape it. Our commitment and love for Christ is proven through how we react to temptations that are placed before us. We have two options:

A) Give in to the temptations of the world/Satan
B) Live for Christ, by carrying out God's will in our lives.

We can't carry out God's will and live in sinful pleasures. We can't live by the world's standards and please God.
