March 28 - Questions

Mark 13:10-13

10 And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. 11 Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. 12 Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 13 All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Three main points:

1) We must deliver the message to all nations. This includes 5 miles from our residence to the third world countries that we so often forget about. Missions are essential to making Christ known in this world.

2) The world is passing away every day. Moral values are on the decline and sin is on the rise. So many people doubt and refuse to believe the existence of God and the gospel.

3) Christ tells us as it is: we will be hated. If we live our lives according to the word and the commandments given to us through God, we will be hated by the world. This isn't an "I don't like Christians" scenario. It is an "I hate Christians" mindset. BUT...Christ tells us also that, even though the world will hate us for carrying out God's will and seeking his direction in our lives, we will be saved from the eternal flames of hell.

How are you delivering the message? Are you passing away with the world? Are you worthy of Christ's love and his promise for standing strong in him?
