February 19 - Who?

God is beautiful...in His love and his plans.

Isaiah 40: 21-25

21 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? 22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. 23 He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. 24 No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. 25 "To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One.


At what point do we begin thinking that we are responsible for everything in our lives? "Our job" makes "our money" to buy "our new TV" or "our new car". God is the creator of everything. God supplies our needs. I am not responsible for my job...God has given me the ability to breathe, speak, have knowledge, and work. At any point, those privileges could be provoked. There is only one Creator of this universe. No one matches His might, His love, His creativity, His knowledge, and His spirit. Anyone who says that their "god" can offer them eternal life is not wrong. Any other god, besides the Lord God found in the scripture of the Bible, can only offer eternal life in a burning hot hell. The God found in the 66 books can only give His children the gift of eternal life in heaven.

He has created mankind (some specifics: Adam, Moses, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Philo Farnsworth, Ben Franklin, Bill Gates, etc), destroyed cities, rescued oppressed people, created all nations, provided a sacrifice to save us from hell, and has given us a reason to live for something greater than for this dying and corrupt world. The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit are bigger and greater than any person, place, thing, thought, desire, or drug. Buddha is not real. Hinduism will not reveal joy or truth. Hedonism is a path to destruction. The Koran is soaked in lies and false teachings. Without God, the Creator of this world, you and I are dust. A golden statue will not save you. Five pillars of Islam is not serving the same god as living a faithful life for the true God. Nowhere in the Bible does it instruct His people to repeat a prayer to Him five times a day...


So, my question is this...Who can compare to God and who is equal to Him?

Nobody.
