Today is Sunday, therefore, no exercises.
Psalms 3
1 O Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! 2 Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." 3 But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. 4 To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. 5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. 6 I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side. 7 Arise, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. 8 From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
Egypt (Cairo) is in turmoil. It's people are uprising and revolting against the government. We have all seen the news and read it in the papers. Muslims are attacking and killing Christians. Many of the Psalms pertain to prayer of protection, justice, peace, trust, and deliverance.
I will not say much on this topic, but the words of Psalm 3 are very clear and direct to this situation and any situation we as Christians may face in America.
These are very clear points:
1) God is the only true and real god.
2) Many religions doubt and speak against God and His existence.
3) The Lord will protect His people and will deliver justice against those that harm them.
4) God hears the prayers and cries of His people over the sounds of gun fire, broken glass, and sirens.
5) There is rest and peace in the Lord...physical and spiritual.
6) In many areas of the world, Christians are minorities. Christians are hated...just as God is hated.
7) The God of Love is also capable of fighting for His church. Buddah, Muhammad, hedonistic
believers, and many other false gods cannot stand a chance against God and His might.
8) God will deliver: from harm in escape from attack or upward to our heavenly home to reside with
Him.
God's word is true. We have nothing to fear if we rest in His truths and His arms. As Christians, we may face turmoil, ridicule, anger from enemies, and mockery, but one thing remains true...God.
Pray for Egypt.
Pray for America.
Pray for Christians.
Pray for Reconciliation.
